Where do you find Ontario 313A exam results?

Find your certifying exam result through Skilled Trades Ontario and turn it into a focused next study step.

After an Ontario 313A sitting, check the Skilled Trades Ontario (STO) Portal for your certifying exam result. STO lists result viewing as a certification service and says it will provide results and outline the next steps after the exam. This answers a current candidate question from the published instructions checked 2026-10-04; it does not announce a new result policy.

Which account shows the result?

Use your own STO Portal account to look for the certifying exam result. The separate rsexam.ca account described in our online exam setup guide is for the Red Seal delivery system and its practice interface. Do not confuse the two sign-ins or assume an unofficial practice score is an STO result.

STO's exam scheduling page says it provides results and next steps after completion. If your result or instructions are unclear, use the contact route on that page and identify your trade and sitting; do not post your personal result in a public forum.

What should you record before planning a retake?

Save the official result and any information STO actually provides about your attempt. Note the date of the sitting and the areas STO identifies, if an area breakdown is supplied. Do not infer which individual questions were missed: the public result process does not release actual exam items.

Compare any area feedback with the current 313A exam breakdown. As of 2026-10-04, Red Seal says the previous occupational standard remains the basis for current exams, while exams using the newer standard are under development. Use the current-exam outline rather than silently transferring newer weights.

What if the result is unsuccessful?

Follow the next steps in STO's own result notice. Its current scheduling instructions state a mandatory 30-day wait between unsuccessful attempts and a new exam fee. Our rewrite checklist covers the booking distinction; the official notice controls your case.

Make a short error log from concepts you can explain poorly, then use the study planner to allocate time across the current major work areas. The free five-question sample is original, unofficial draft practice awaiting certified-mechanic review. Its small result cannot predict a pass or reconstruct your official exam.
